Lviv City NGO “Institute for Policy Studies” is independent non-profit organization that was founded in 1998. Our projects are independent of any political parties and not directed towards property accumulation.
The aim of the Institute is to promote development of Ukraine as democratic lawful state with market economy and open civil society; support and strengthen local self-government; implement the ideas of democratization of self-governing process; study, synthesize and spread experience of local community initiative development; accumulate financial and material resources in order to support and promote development of local self-government.
The organization concentrates its activity on several directions such as:
- local development, provision of transparency in activity of the local self-governmental bodies and citizen participation in the decision-making processes at the local level;
- election studies and political processes;
- European integration issues.
We have experience in organization and conducting of various communicative events – conferences, workshops, round tables, trainings, public hearings; analytical research carrying out; training programs development and implementation. Our projects are mainly of regional scale and cover 5-6 regions of Ukraine, in which we have partner organizations. IPS has clear and efficient system of administration of the projects’ realization, their financial management, monitoring and accounting.
