On May, 17 representatives of NGOs from Moldova visited our office. They are in Lviv in the framework of the project for establishing cooperation between civic society of Ukraine and Moldova, implemented by “The Lion Society” (Lviv) and Association Promo-LEX (Kyshyniv).
In Lviv Moldanian activists study the activity of our civic sector, local self-governmental bodies, educational institutions. In particular, today they visited Ukrainian Catholic University and Tourist information center of the city.
Deputy Director of the Institute for Policy Studies Oleh Protsak told the guests about the history of the organization, main direction of its activity and successful projects. The guests were interested in our elections projects, as far as this issue is close to the Association Promo-LEX. The representative of the Association repeatedly visited Ukraine as an international observer of the international mission ENEMO. The conversation touched particularly the problem of transparency of election campaigns financing, process of election commissions training etc. Oleh Protsak and Ihor Dobko, representative of the Lion Society, shared their impressions about new election system at the latest local elections.
The separate block of questions concerned the experience of Ukrainian NGOs in controlling of a budget process, cooperation with local self-governmental bodies, local deputies training. We shared with Moldavian colleagues our experience of implementation of cross-border projects, financed by the European Union, and told them about cooperation with Polish partners.
